Skylights have three weatherproof systems: the seal around the glass, the gasket between the frame and the roof curb, and the flashing that ties the skylight to the surrounding roof. Any of the three can fail. The most common cause in Prescott is the flashing, followed by the gasket.

If your skylight is leaking, the fix is a new unit. We don't band-aid old skylights with reseals. By the time water is getting through, the unit is at or near the end of its life and the right call is replacement with a modern, better-sealed skylight (Velux, Skylux, and similar). We can also re-flash the surround and tie it back into the roof properly.
If you're replacing the whole roof, swapping the skylights at the same time is the right play. That's when we cover them under the workmanship warranty too.
